I’m tired of having my genitals slowly crushed by tight pant and trouser inseams. (Having a fuller butt than most doesn’t help.) The discomfort of pants is worse when sitting in a confined space, like an airplane, where there’s little room to make adjustments to free up material. Chafing by pant inseams is also bad. This gets worse during warm weather when the inseam soaks up perspiration and starts to rip up the inside of your thighs. Men’s shorts are now are nearly as long as capris with the same limitations and discomforts as pants. Skirts are wonderfully cool in the summer. Every time the temperatures climb here in America, women enmass begin wearing skirts, even though all the buildings are air conditioned. Any man who experiences the cool comfort of a skirt will be reluctant to take it off. I totally envy the freedom women have to wear skirt (or dresses) to work. Hopefully men will gain the same freedom as well in the not too distant future, especially in professional work environments.

There is no one answer to this question as everyone has their own personal style and preferences. Some women may feel more comfortable sitting in a skirt while others may prefer to avoid doing so.
